When a squirrel steps onto the perch, a metal shield drops down, covering the seed tray, keeping the squirrels out! Adjust the perch to invite lightweight, medium or heavy birds to feed. No matter the adjustment, the Birders Choice always blocks out squirrels. Includes bird weight chart, so you can choose the size of birds you want to feed. When faced away from prevailing winds, the feeder hangs at an angle to keep the seed ports dry during wet weather. Includes 12 inch metal hanger and the option to pole-mount with the mounting bracket, pole sold separately. All-steel with durable green finish. 10-1/2 x 12-1/2 x 5-3/4 inches tall.
